Leng Kang

Leng was born and raised in Cambodia before spending a decade gaining educational and professional experience overseas in Singapore and Australia. As a true entrepreneur with a desire to make a positive impact on his country, Leng returned to Phnom Penh in 2009. He first joined to support his father to build ISI Steel before quickly taking the mantle as Managing Director. With his vision to grow the product and service offering of ISI, he established ISI GROUP alongside the leadership of his siblings. Leng has led the Group to become a diverse portfolio of companies, currently employing more than 2,000 employees, as well as establishing its strong CSR program. Leng is dedicated to becoming a corporate role model by fuelling sustainable economic growth that puts people first.
Hok Kang
Co-Founder and CEO
Hok holds a dual degree in Architecture and Entrepreneurship from Washington University in St. Louis. Upon graduation, he studied under Kengo Kuma and Associates, as well as Sou Fujimoto Architects in Tokyo, Japan, before returning home to Phnom Penh to start his own architecture practice, HKA & Partners, in 2010.
In 2013, Hok founded Urbanland, a Cambodian company creating inspirational spaces for people to live, work and play in, with absolute attention to quality, durability and craftsmanship. His design philosophy centres on understanding the needs of people to creatively and efficiently design spaces that transform their quality of life. Over the last decade, his work has been celebrated for their distinctiveness and quality including Raintree, Embassy Residences, Embassy Central, and Treeline Urban Resort. These projects have brought Cambodian architecture into international publications such as Monocle, Wallpaper* and Condé Nast Traveler.
Lida Diep
Chief Financial Officer
Having grown up in Australia, Lida graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales. She began her career in Accounting and Tax with BDO and Grant Thornton in Sydney, with a focus on the auto and financial services sectors. Having joined Urbanland in 2014, she has built the Accounting and Finance team since the inception of the company, leading all aspects of development and corporate finance. While balancing the books, outside the office Lida focuses on building her family as a proud mother of two.
