Quantity Surveyor

Job Objectives:

The Quantity Surveyor is working on prepare the construction budget for approval by the Management; liaise with the PM Department for effective and efficient implementation and budget control; to ensure that all commercials and contractual matters are executed accordingly to Management’s approval.

Job Responsibilities:


• Familiarize the PM protocols and assist the full implementation.
• Full understanding all contractual and commercial matters including construction specifications and contractual obligations.
• Proficiency on taking measurement to all trades – Structural /Arch/MEP.
• Produce Pre-Contract cost planning (from Cost Plan to Revised Cost Plan, to Pre-Tender Cost Estimate & BOQ)
• Prepare Tender documents distribution for those selected tenderers
• Prepare Tender evaluation report of submitted tender cost offer and shortlisting
• Prepare Tender questionnaire and invitation for preliminary interview/presentation with those shortlisted tenderers.
• Conduct further negotiation and final presentation with selected tenderer
• Preparation of Contract (Full Contract preparation and Invitation for signing)
• Prepare project cash flow monitoring & Cost Report during Construction (Cost Projection) for Accounting & Finance Departments in order to project the payment cycle
• Monitoring project expense vs budget of the awarded project
• Manage the accuracy of measurement in accordance with relevant standards
• Provide detailed records and valuations of work executed
• Preparation of progress payments, variation order, and final accounts settlement
• Regular update on the market price on various trades and apply to company cost library.
• Full assistance on documentations/recording and other related matters with staff required by project manager.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying/Civil/Structure Engineering or Architecture.
• Minimum 4 to 5 years’ experience in similar position.
• Computer software literacy – MS Office/CAD.
• Basic training course achievement in Quality Control/Safety and management.
• Project management knowledge skill
